The memorable street food paradise - Taipei ~ Day 1

Day 1 begins with our arrival at the Taoyuan International Airport. We booked the airport transfer to our hotel at Ximending which saves us the hassle of carrying our heavy luggage while taking public transport. We stayed at Kingshi hotel at Ximending ( 西門町). The place is very convenient as there are many convenient stores, restaurants and pharmacies nearby.

Our first stop of the day is the famous flour rice noodle : Ah Zhong Mian Xian (阿宗麵線 ). The soup is rather peppery but it taste nice. The queue is incredibly long.

We bought their easy card there and top up 500 NT. Using the easy card, we can take public transport and buy stuffs at their convenience store. Using the MRT, we headed towards to Wu Fen Pu (五分埔). The area  is a wholesale garment market which is crowded on weekends. To our surprise, it was not crowded when we pay that place a visit.

The long walk makes our stomach growl. The Rao He street night market (饒河街觀光夜市)was the next destination. We tried the butter bun (top left), wild boar Taiwan sausage (top right), ai yu jelly with milk (standalone picture on the right), pineapple tart, smelly tofu (bottom left)and the Hujiao Bing (胡椒餅-bottom right).

With a stomach stuffed with food, taking a brisk walk to the nearby rainbow bridge really ease our guilt for overeating. The lighting on the bridge  is nice at night. The marks the end of day 1.
